Any Oscars followers out there? If you are like me you look forward to the nominations (heck I even put the release date on my calender) every year. Actually I quite loathe awards shows and never watch them, but I really like to watch the movies. If you are anything like me and enjoy following along, picking your favorite and swapping personal opinions over the movies, I have a list for you.
This check list is different from the usual voting list, this is a watch list! What makes this a watch list and not a voting list is that it is arranged by movie from most nominations to least verses by nomination category. "Best Picture" nominations are noted with a red star for easy reference. Using this list you can start at the most popular and work your way down or jump around randomly. I think it's nice to know what to look for before watching. I.e. you can easily see if a movie is nominated for best musical score and prick up your ears!
I left off some categories to keep this shorter and simpler. I omitted: documentaries, the shorts and foreign films. I totally plan on watching movies from these categories -the Mayan theater in Denver shows the live and animated shorts which has become a tradition of ours to go to- it just bulked up the list too much.
