Eons back, we made some real grenadine. Not the red colored sugar, but with actual pomegranate juice. 90% of the time, my grenadine is used to make a Chapala. This is hands down my favorite Tequila drink.
The Chapala has citrus, florals and the earthiness of tequila. It's a nice alternative to a margarita. I hope you enjoy!
| CHAPALA | ||
| 2 oz Silver Tequila | ||
| 1 ½ oz Orange Juice | ||
| 1 oz Lemon Juice | ||
| ½ oz Grenadine | ||
| Dash Orange Flower Water | ||
Mix everything in the base of a cocktail shaker. Swirl and pour over ice. Garnish with a lemon or orange if you want!
I keep my grenadine frozen, it has alcohol so it's a slush that is easily scoopable.
