S.O.A.P. Panel Scents #1 & #2

I'm affectionately calling these Carmex (#1) and Jellybeans (#2).
While soaping these #1 smelled more smoky, earthy and herbal. It's probably a men's scent or unisex. I'm not partial to camphor personally but I know Carmex has been around for ages, so I bet some people would dig it! #2 smelled sweet and spring like. My first thought was a handful of jelly beans at Easter.

I used these at 7% which you can see, left me a little over half the fragrance. #1 was more viscous than #2 and the scent throw was stronger. I know that's a term used mostly for candles, but I think it works to describe any fragrance.

Carmex inspired colors. Blackstar blue from TKB Trading, Sunshine Yellow from Nurture Soap Supplies.

Jellybean inspired colors. Lime Green and Fandango Pink both from from Nurture Soap Supplies

Arranged and ready to go. I poured off a couple ounces of un-fragranced soap for the colors. In hindsight it probably would have been good to scent the colors and see how they affect them. However, this is how I always do it so habit happened. Oops. For consistency I suppose I should do the same as I did here.

I fragranced and poured each base. You can see how #2 tinged the soap yellow and #1 almost has a greyish-brownish color. These uncolored bases will be used to compare the level of discoloring each fragrance imparts.

Fancy tops added. Both of these fragrances soaped perfectly. Slow, no ricing, no strong discoloring. I mostly could smell #1 around the house that day and forever after the next. I do have a bit of a cold (bad smelling timing) but #2 seemed very mildly scented to me, I had to put it to my nose to smell it. I left these on the counter to do their thing, not forcing gel or insulating (this is my standard-lazy-practice).
As a side note, this is the first time I used the Blackstar Blue. Wowza! It's the blackest black I've ever used.

Stay tuned for the final shots of these cut. I'll be posting them together when all eight fragrances have been soaped!
