Before soaping these I was calling them Cough Medicine(#3) and Candied Flowers(#4), buuuut they revealed their true selves during saponification. Let's just say I wanted to hug them, and might have kissed them. They really just grew up so well *tear*.
While soaping these #3 smelled truly awful to me. Like thick syrupy cherry cough medicine. No joke, when I unmolded this it became my favorite so far. I hummed 'A Whole New World' while I peeled away the freezer paper lovingly. It turned into a sweet, warm smell. Not overly sweet like candy. Almost like baked goods with a subtle spice smell. Complex and 100% huff-able. #4 smelled sweet, sort of flowery, powdery OOB and I liked it fine. When I unmolded this one. Blueberries. Right away it hit me. Not a true blueberry though, more like a fresh baby in clean clothes with blueberries all over their little face.
I used these at 7% which you can see, left me a little over half the fragrance. I didn't notice any significant scent throw from either of these. I could smell the cough medicine most (because I hate it) haha. Both were similar in color and viscosity. I think #4 is slightly heavier in weight as I needed less.
Cough medicine inspired colors. Crucible Gold from TKB Trading, Red Vibrance mica Nurture Soap Supplies.
Candied flower inspired colors. Purple Rainbow mica and Blue Vibrance mica both from from Nurture Soap Supplies
Arranged and ready to go. I poured off a couple ounces of un-fragranced soap for the colors like last time.
I fragranced and poured each base. You can see how #3 made the soap orange! #4 is a little yellow, but semi-typical color. (These uncolored bases will be used to compare the level of discoloring each fragrance imparts).

Ok here is where I blew it this time. I can NOT believe it... I didn't take a picture of the just poured soap. Here is what happened. I over-stickblended. I know I should stop, but I just want to be sure it's emulsified. I know better than that! So things got a little thick and I lost some top soap (in the squeeze bottle). I only got to do a nonpareil- didn't get to do the full peacock swirl. It won't effect the SOAP panel results, but in the minor stress of making this work I forgot to take any pictures of them poured. I know this is my fault and not the fragrance. So I would say both of these fragrances soaped quite well, no acceleration, no ricing. Sorry for such an un-pretty non-soap-porny post.
Stay tuned for the final shots of these cut. I'll be posting them together when all eight fragrances have been soaped!
