Wow these smelled really different to me when I smelled them a second time. My nose must have been fatigued when I got to them in the scent line up last time!
I still couldn't figure out what #5 was. It seemed like the first smell wasn't that great, but then just as you stopped smelling a sweet (frustratingly!) familiar scent came through. I couldn't work it out OOB, so I called this one Bubblegum. Since it smelled sweet and nostalgic, like a big dusty cube of pink bubblegum. After soaping it, more of a warm vanilla came through. Like fruit and cream or butterscotch and raspberry. #6 smelled TOTALLY different to me OOB. I smelled a hint of citrus at first but then a really nice herbal smell, perhaps some lavender and mint? Totally -hands down- smelled herbal. Yet when I unmolded it, I got more of an Old Spice-ish clean smell. Still unisex and really nice. These smelled nice and strong out of the mold, I hope they stay that way (especially #6)!
I used these at 7% which you can see, left me a little over half the fragrance. I didn't notice any significant scent throw from either of these. Both were similar in color and viscosity. It looks like there is a lot more left of #5 in the bottle... but I swear I poured out the same weight for each!
Bubblegum inspired colors. Satin Pearl from TKB Trading, Fired Up Fuchsia from Bramble Berry.
Herbal inspired colors (sort of). Aqua Pearl mica and Bronze mica both from from Bramble Berry.
Arranged and ready to go. I poured off a couple ounces of un-fragranced soap for the colors like last time. The mica's are mixed with water (as they have been for the previous batches) but the neon does not mix with water so a small amount of olive oil taken from the recipe is used instead.
I fragranced and poured each base. You can see how #6 is a little on the yellow side, but both are semi-typical colors. (These uncolored bases will be used to compare the level of discoloring each fragrance imparts). Both fragrances were uneventful, aka behaved themselves. I have yet to get a ricer or an accelerator at 75% through the fragrances!
YES! You better believe I snapped tons of pictures of these with their pretty tops since I blew it last time! The white and pink together are my favorite. Herbal #6 looks a little more mint chocolate chip, but I kinda like that color combo! The Satin Pearl mica from TKB has been my favorite white. I feel like it stays the whitest without any graininess. It just looks white and smooth. And this neon pink goes smashingly, if I do say so myself. ;)

Stay tuned for the final shots of these cut. I'll be posting them together when all eight fragrances have been soaped!
