Citrus Room Spray

I've seen a few ways to make room/fragrance sprays. Some use alcohol, some a light oil like cyclomethicone and some use water. They are all fairly simple and a room spray can come together quickly and without heat.
I made the LotionCrafter Linen and Room Spray, but strongly considered this one from the Soap Queen. I only didn't do that one because I have Polysorbate 80, not 20 and didn't feel like figuring out how much I'd need (it's a 2-1 ratio of fragrance oil to polysorbate 80 I've since learned). I'm not disappointed in this spray, but I wish it had more sticking power. It smells great when you first spray it, then vanishes almost immediately after. It still works to neutralize bad smells it just doesn't leave a lingering scent. This might be just what some people what though, and it still does come in handy for me. Plus the fragrance blend is just so juicy and fresh, makes my mouth water.

Even though this isn't a skin product you'll still want to use preservative to prolong the life of this spray. Plus who wants to spray potentially moldy water into their air? I used WholeSale Supplies Plus Multi-Spray Concentrate. No link since they seem to have stopped selling it, but it's the same as Caprol Micro Express and AquaEm essentially.

Some thrilling bottles! No really these are kinda exciting for me... haha. A credit card sprayer so I can keep this fresh spray on me at all times, and a "designer" aluminum bottle for home use.

I wanted a citrus scent. Orange is hard to use because it tends to overpower everything, so I went with 50% (1.5g) Grapefruit essential oil and 50% (1.5g) Lime Distilled Essential oil both from Bramble Berry.

MSC, distilled water and preservative.

Mix until clear!

Fragrance added. All directions for this solubilizer say to add a few more drops until the mixture clears up. I didn't add too many since I didn't care if it was clear, opaque bottle and all.

Bottled! The credit card sprayer can be hard to fill and close without spilling some, but I made 100g and therefore had a little too much since this aluminum sprayer is only 2oz. I think this would make a good linen or pillow spray because you don't want the smell to be too strong or lasting for that. Lavender or vanilla sounds nice for sleepy time. Meanwhile, I'll try not to drink this because it smells so effing refreshing.
