White Russian

As promised, a White Russian. This is a straightforward recipe of three things poured over ice. No special tools needed. I only drink White Russians during the chillier months of the year. Something about cream and coffee doesn’t seem very refreshing and summery to me. But it's perfect for winter and fall!
You could use milk, but it won’t be as good and I don’t recommend it. Ideally use heavy cream or half & half. It’s not health food, treat yourself. If you can’t have dairy, I bet a coconut milk sub for cream would be super good.

WHITE RUSSIAN

2 oz Vodka
1 oz Heavy Cream
1 oz Coffee Liqueur

Vodka and coffee liqueur. If you stopped here, you'd have a Black Russian.

I love this measuring cup. We had the metal version, but the measurements wore off.

The traditional recipes I read said to “float the cream”. I tried!

My attempt looked more like a lava lamp than a drink...

Mixed up. Not as artistic, but slightly more palatable!

Creamy rich goodness.
